A simple, elegant beading project perfect for beginners.
Thread one jade bead and one metallic spacer bead onto each head pin.
You should end up with 14 beaded pins.
Using your wire cutters, trim the pins so you have a variety of lengths. This is what creates the “cascade” effect.
Aim for 3–4 different lengths so the beads fall in a soft, staggered line.
With your round‑nose pliers, bend the top of each pin into a small loop.
Open a 6 mm jump ring.
Hook all of your beaded pins onto the ring, arranging them from shortest to longest to create a cascading look.
Close the jump ring securely.
Attach the jump ring full of pins to an ear wire.
Repeat the process for the second earring.
Once you’ve mastered the basic technique, try experimenting with different materials:
Mix colors, textures, and lengths to create your own unique versions of the cascade earring.
This is a quick, satisfying project that’s perfect for gifting, selling, or adding a little movement and sparkle to your own jewelry collection.
